Somewhere out there in the future, Autumn will get to the Gulf Coast... but here in Texas we don't wait for the leaves to change to get our college football fever on.

On Saturday, September 7th, Lodge 88 will host our first All-Schools College Football Tailgate Party. We may have designated areas by school or we may just have a time when people can run in and set up (Ole Miss Grove-style). Either way, come with your lawn chairs, canopies, corn holes thingamajigs, and school colors on. Bring whatever makes it a tailgate to you - - but if we are talking about something large or weird like a mechanical coin-operated pony or something please give us a heads up.

As we know there are some decent alumni contingencies here in Houston, let us know if you would be willing to be the Team Captain for your school. We will get you in contact with fellow alums (or fans) that sign up and yall can work out any pre-game details. The job description for a Team Captain is pretty much yours to write.

If you happen to be the only Virginia alum or something like that we will probably have a special place for mixed tailgating.

***Please note that due to our liquor license, you cannot bring your own beer to the event. You can only bring unopened bottles over 750ML and will have to buy mixers from the bar. But seriously a) have you seen how ridiculously cheap beer prices are at the Lodge and b) if some school / team captain is super awesome maybe you should all chip in and buy a keg from the Lodge for everyone to enjoy.
